Chandipur is a small sea resort in Baleswar District, Odisha, India. Chandipur, also known as Chandipur-on-sea, is one of the few beaches in the world where the sea recedes up to 5km daily at low tide. The resort is on the Bay of Bengal and is approximately 16 kilometers from the Baleswar Railway Station.
Experiencing sea retreats with swaying Casurina trees, sand dunes and the vast open beach make Chandipur one of the finest beaches in Odisha and give visitors the unexpected pleasure. Horseshoe crab is also found here on the beach. Besides these attractions, Chandipur is also famous for its Interim Test Range from where sophisticated missiles are tested.
