Belgaum (also called as Belagavi in Kannada, Belgaon in Marathi) is situated in the northwestern part of Karnataka. It is the fourth largest city in the state, which is located at an altitude of 761 m and borders the states of Maharashtra and Goa. It is a beautiful town in the foothills of the Western Ghats.
